Rep Walberg Votes For 2014 Budget

Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

Today, Rep Walberg voted in favor of the fiscal year 2014 Budget to address our nation's biggest financial problems. The House budget will balance within 10 years, target wasteful spending and fix the broken tax code to foster job growth. This is the third budget passed by the House in three years, while the Senate is scheduled to pass their first budget in four years; a budget that adds $1.5 trillion in taxes and never balances. President Obama, in violation of federal statute, has yet to release his budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

"Our budget will not only help build a healthier economy, but improve the lives of hardworking taxpayers. It will provide economic security for employers and employees, a sustainable safety net for the poor and those retiring, and a secure future for our children and grandchildren. Only by increasing economic growth and bringing the federal government's books into balance can we get our fiscal house in order and create more opportunity, and jobs, for all Americans," commented Rep Walberg following the vote.
