U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after the February jobs report was released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics:
"Any addition of private sector jobs is welcome news, but we cannot ignore the fact that 12 million Americans are still looking for a job today. This week, I introduced the Defund Obamacare Act, which would relieve job creators of this burdensome law and free them to hire more people. Obamacare is a $1 trillion tax hike, which is almost twice the tax burden that analysts predicted when it was enacted in March 2010. By imposing 127 million hours of regulatory compliance, the law amounts to a paperwork invasion and increases the cost of doing business. We must get rid of these barriers to job growth if we're going to solve the unemployment problem in America. It's time to defund Obamacare and free America's businesses to grow and hire again."
