Rep. Radel Responds to the State of the Union

Location: Washington, DC

onight in his State of the Union Address, the President laid out his vision for the future largely ignoring the financial state of our nation, Congressman Trey Radel (FL-19) had the following comments:

"Tonight, it was humbling to be surrounded by leaders of this great nation and have the opportunity to witness the President deliver the State of the Union first hand, unfortunately, he did not deal with the state of the union, our faltering economy or growing national debt. This was another "do as I say not as do" speech from the President where the rhetoric does not match the reality of our struggling economy.

"I believe in a great future for America, not only for my one year old son but for generations of American children, and unlike the President's vision of larger government and higher taxes, I believe that small business owners and American families will thrive and prosper when government gets out of their way."
