Dear Friend:

Today the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve my legislation to help schools secure their campuses and keep their students safe.

Protecting our children from harm should be our No. 1 priority. This bipartisan bill would provide schools with resources to install classroom locks, lighting, fencing and reinforced doors. It would also help schools conduct security assessments and better coordinate with local law enforcement.
