Seavey Wins 41st Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race

Governor Sean Parnell today offered congratulations to Mitch Seavey and his team on winning the 41st Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

"Alaska is truly proud of Mitch Seavey for a great victory in a grueling race," Governor Parnell said. "Mitch and his talented team showed incredible determination. Congratulations to Mitch, his team, volunteers and sponsors on an exciting win."

Seavey crossed the finish line in Nome at 10:39 last night with 10 dogs. He completed the race in 9 days, 7 hours and 39 minutes.
