Congressman Farenthold Reacts to the State of the Union Address

"Tonight, the President spoke to us about the State of the Union. I beg to differ with what the President said. The state of our union is unimproved, and we could be doing much better," said Representative Farenthold.

"Since the President took office, the price of gasoline has more than doubled. The price of insurance for an average family is up around three thousand dollars. Statistic after statistic shows that we are no better offer today than we were five years ago.

"We need to solve that problem. We have an obligation to the next generation to make America great again. Here's how we can do it: follow the Texas model. Less government and more economic freedom. America was built on hard work, dreams, and opportunity. We need to embrace those qualities and get back to that America."
