Daschle Announces $150,000 Grant to Si Tanka University

WASHINGTON, DC - Senator Tom Daschle announced today that Si Tanka University will receive a grant of $149,997 from the Department of Health and Human Services' Head Start program. The funds are awarded under the Partnerships with Tribally Controlled Land Grant Colleges and Universities Program. "Head Start programs help set kids on the right track to success," Senator Daschle said. "The support provided by Si Tanka University to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Head Start program is an invaluable resource to tribal families."
