Johanns Statement on Keystone XL Impact Study

Statement

Date: March 1, 2013
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Environment

U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) today released the following statement after the State Department released a draft environmental impact study on the Keystone XL pipeline:

"This is an important project because it creates jobs and increases our nation's energy supply. Nebraska has approved the route, the State Department has previously examined the route and now this project should move forward. There is no reason for President Obama or the State Department to delay a project that is so clearly in the nation's best interest."
