Today, Congresswoman Janice Hahn (CA-44) released the following statement regarding President Obama's State of the Union call for modern ports:
"For so long, our ports have not been a high priority in our national discussion. I was delighted to see that the President saw fit to mention this vital issue in his State of the Union address last night. I am proud that the PORTS Caucus has led the way in educating Congressional policy makers on both sides of the aisle on the importance of ports to our nation's economy and infrastructure. I agree with the President's proposal to build collaborative partnerships that attracts capital to help modernize ports to move our goods efficiently, which will ensure America remains globally competitive."
