In response to a new State Department draft report on the Keystone XL oil pipeline, Senator Mark Begich offered the following statement:
"At long last, we are starting to see some forward movement on energy security. While I remain frustrated the Keystone XL process has taken so long, I am happy to see progress today in the Administration's draft report. One way or another, these resources will be developed and it does not make sense to pass up a secure supply of energy from our trusted ally and leave China to capitalize on it. The Keystone project will create American jobs, secure our energy supply, and provide long-term economic and national security."
