Representative Lee Terry (R-NE) announced today Larry Farnsworth has joined his staff as Communications Director. Farnsworth previously served as Deputy Press Secretary and Speechwriter to former House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) before spending the previous eight years in the private sector.
"As someone who's worked for and owned a small business, Larry understands how decisions made in Washington impact job creators," said Congressman Terry. "He's a results-oriented communicator and I'm pleased he'll be joining my team."
Farnsworth will be responsible for the day-to-day management of communications outreach for Terry's Congressional office and any issues related to the Congressman's Chairmanship of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Farnsworth will also serve as the chief spokesman for Congressman Terry.
"I'm honored to be joining Congressman Terry's team," said Farnsworth. "We're a nation of builders and I look forward to promoting Mr. Terry's efforts to strengthen American manufacturing and to finally build the Keystone XL pipeline."
Farnsworth is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. He lives in Springfield, VA with his wife Karla. Together they have a five-year old son Jack and eight-month old twin girls Ellie and Emerie.
