Johnson Statement on Confirmation of Jack Lew as Treasury Secretary

Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Johnson (D-SD) issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed Jack Lew to be Treasury Secretary.

"I congratulate Jack on his confirmation and I have no doubt that we will work well together during this critical time for our nation's economy," said Chairman Johnson. "Jack is a dedicated public servant who is well-qualified and has the right temperament to succeed as Treasury Secretary. I look forward to Secretary Lew coming before the Banking Committee in the near future so we can hear from him about a range of issues, including the state of the economy, progress on financial regulation and other fiscal issues."
