The House Committee on Ways and Means announced this morning that Rep. Todd Young (R-IN9) will serve on the Subcommittees on Select Revenue and Human Resources for the 113th Congress.
The Select Revenue subcommittee has jurisdiction over various revenue-generating measures. The Human Resources subcommittee has jurisdiction over Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Unemployment Insurance (UI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Child Support Enforcement (CSE), the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG), and various child welfare programs (including foster care and adoption assistance).
"I'm excited to play a role in these very important subcommittees this Congress," said Young. "These subcommittees deal with issues that affect the everyday lives of so many Hoosiers, and I'm honored to be in a position to influence policy in a positive way for our constituents."
