Bustos Had Lunch Meeting With Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis To Talk About Ways To Work Together To Strengthen Region Followed By Tour Of Peoria International Airport
Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) spent the day in Peoria where she had a lunch meeting with Mayor Jim Ardis followed by a tour of the Peoria International Airport. Bustos ended her day by enjoying some ice cream at the Spotted Cow restaurant.
Mayor Ardis and Bustos discussed ways they could work together to strengthen the city and region. At the airport, Bustos met with local officials and business and community leaders to hear their priorities and concerns. Bustos, a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and Aviation Subcommittee, is committed to fighting for all of the region's airports, roads, bridges, and rail lines.
"My meetings today with Mayor Ardis and with officials at the Peoria International Airport will help me best represent Illinois' 17th Congressional District," Congresswoman Cheri Bustos said. "Fighting to create jobs and economic opportunity for our region is my top priority. I look forward to coming back to Peoria and continuing to hear firsthand from constituents as often as possible."
