Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) released the following statement in response to President Obama's State of the Union Address:

"Actions speak louder than words. While this President gives eloquent speeches, we have yet to see from him the kind of leadership our country needs right now. We need to come together for real action that will foster job creation through private sector expansion, bring down the cost of energy, and reduce our national debt."

"In the House, we have advanced legislation that would make the tax code fairer, flatter, and more conducive to growth. We have acted to safely and efficiently harness America's energy potential. We have worked to rein in government and reduce our deficits. All of this has been met with inaction from the Senate and a White House more intent on campaigning than working with us. When the President is ready to come off the bully pulpit and do the people's work, we will be here."
