Representative Blake Farenthold today applauded Texas' continued economic success and job growth. Corpus Christi was named by Forbes among the top 10 cities in the nation outperforming during the recession. Manufacturing companies like Caterpillar in Victoria, Tenaris in Bay City, the M&G Group and TPCO America in Corpus Christi are making long term investments in the area, fueled by favorable government policies, low cost natural gas from the Eagle Ford shale, an outstanding workforce and good transportation infrastructure.
"Companies are investing in our area because they see the economic promise that a great workforce, low taxes and a supportive government bring," said Rep. Farenthold. "Texans are benefitting with more jobs, higher wages and the great lifestyle a booming economy affords them.
"Also this week, Corpus Christi was named among the top ten outperforming cities during the recovery. We have low unemployment and appreciating real estate values, and those are the positive results of letting the free market work. I am very proud to represent an area where the values of hard work and innovation are coming together to form more prosperous communities."
