Deadline Approaching to File for FAFSA on March 1st

Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

Today-Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) announced the deadline to apply for Federal Student Aid is approaching fast. Students who want to apply must do so before the FAFSA deadline of March 1, 2013.

"In 2010, the Democratic Congress made federal financial aid for college students more streamlined and more cost effective," said U.S. Rep. Hinojosa. "Students who qualify will receive direct federal financial aid through FAFSA which could help them earn a college degree. Remember the deadline is coming up fast. You must apply by the March 1st deadline in order to qualify for student financial aid this year."

Since July 1, 2010, all new federal education loans have been made through the Direct Loan program. The loans are made through the college's financial aid office with funds provided by the US Department of Education.

DEADLINE: MARCH 1ST for funding in 2013.
