House Small Business Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) today released the following statement upon the announcement that Karen Mills, Administrator of the Small Business Administration, is stepping down for the President's second term:
"I appreciated working with Administrator Mills, and wish her the best in her next venture," Chairman Graves said. "She was particularly helpful to the Small Business Committee in the successful effort to reauthorize the SBIR program, the first full reauthorization in a decade. I had the opportunity to hear her testify before the Committee on several occasions. She brought experience to an important position, and the profile of the Small Business Administration was elevated on her watch. I am hopeful that President Obama's replacement will be an energetic and experienced voice for small businesses."
