Gov. Jack Dalrymple today said he is pleased that Delta Airlines will begin serving southwestern North Dakota by providing two daily, nonstop flights between Dickinson and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Delta has announced that flights between Dickinson's Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport and Minneapolis will begin on June 10, 2013.
"Delta's commitment to providing daily service at Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport will help us meet the transportation needs of this growing region of North Dakota," Dalrymple said. "Enhanced air service is good for business and the region's quality of life."
"This is exciting for Dickinson and southwestern North Dakota," Dickinson Mayor Dennis Johnson said. "This is another example of the great progress we are making in Dickinson and the entire region."
Delta has announced that tickets for the flights will be available starting February 23, 2013. Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport recorded nearly 24,000 boardings last year, about 5,000 more than the previous year.
