Rep. David B. McKinley, P.E. (R-W.Va.) travelled the First Congressional District last week to meet with bipartisan groups of elected officials and discuss issues facing the Mountain State.
"These meetings are a chance to start a dialog and discuss state and federal issues that impact the First District," said Rep. McKinley. "Those of us who represent West Virginia at the state and federal level need to find common ground and work together to make West Virginia an even better state."
Last week, Rep. McKinley met with a bipartisan group of W.Va. Delegates from Monongalia County on Thursday and Wood County on Friday. Rep. McKinley will continue to meet with local elected officials throughout the district in the coming months.
"There is no partisan agenda for these discussions, just the concerns and issues of hard working West Virginians," noted Rep. McKinley. "In Washington and West Virginia, public servants need more chances like these to work together across the aisle."
