Today-Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) released the following statement regarding the announcement that U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis will resign:
"When I called on the newly sworn in Secretary of Labor Solis to join the HESTEC Congressional Roundtable panel at the University of Texas-Pan American in 2009, she did not hesitate to come to South Texas to meet with students and teachers. As a strong advocate for the Hispanic community and for all American workers, Secretary Solis has dedicated her service to America. She has inspired a generation of Latinas to reach for the top and has already left a legacy that will live through so many in the years to come. Secretary Solis is a good friend for whom I wish the best in her future endeavors."
