Congresswoman Betty McCollum (MN-04) issued the following statement, regarding President Obama's nomination of B. Todd Jones to be Permanent Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF).
"In his position as Acting Director, Mr. Jones's leadership has brought stability and integrity to the ATF. This agency needs a permanent director, and he is the ideal choice. Congress needs to give the ATF the tools and resources it needs to do its job effectively. The Senate should confirm Mr. Jones as ATF Director as soon as possible."
