Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr. M.D. (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after being sworn in to the 113th Congress as the representative of the Third Congressional District of Louisiana:

"I look forward to serving as the voice of South Louisiana in the 113th Congress. Our region faces many challenges that must be addressed. We are a unique community with much to offer, and I will promote South Louisiana's many qualities to the rest of the nation and the world."
