Quigley Visits New Constituents in Elmhurst

Press Release

Date: Feb. 6, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Last week, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) visited the city of Elmhurst to hear from new constituents and city officials. Along with other parts of DuPage County, Elmhurst became part of Illinois' 5th Congressional District at the start of this year.

"It's important new constituents know that my office is always accessible and ready to serve them with any number of federal issues they may face," said Quigley. "From small business development to affordable education, meeting with people in the District provides a critical perspective on the human impact of decisions we make every day in DC."

Quigley began the day at the Elmhurst Metra station, greeting morning commuters and discussing transportation issues with Demetri Skoufis of Metra Community Affairs and Adrian Guerrero of Union Pacific Railroad.

Quigley then toured City Hall with Elmhurst's acting Mayor, Scott Levin, and the President of the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce, John Quigley (no relation). They discussed issues facing Elmhurst businesses and possible locations for Quigley's business-focused "Undercover Congressman" series.
