House Agriculture Committee Chairman, Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma, today named U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) the Chairman for the Subcommittee on "Horticulture, Research, Biotechnology, and Foreign Agriculture" for the 113th Congress. Chairman Lucas and Rep. Scott offered the following comments on today's announcement:
"I am pleased to have Congressman Scott serve as a Subcommittee Chairman. I look forward to working with him in this new leadership role as we work to ensure the health and vitality of production agriculture and rural economies," said Chairman Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma.
