EPW Chairman Boxer Announces New Deputy Staff Director

Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), today announced that Jeremy Symons will join her EPW team as Deputy Staff Director. He will focus on environmental issues, including clean water, air quality, wildlife, and climate change.
Symons currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Conservation and Education at the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), the largest conservation organization in the U.S. Previously, he was Executive Director of NWF's Climate Change Campaign, held positions in the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Air and Radiation, and served in Senator Ron Wyden's office as a Senate Fellow.

Senator Boxer said: "Jeremy is one of the most effective and innovative conservation advocates in the nation. His experience with a broad range of environmental issues and his ability to work in a bipartisan way to promote conservation make him an exciting addition to my strong EPW team."

Symons earned a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University in 1996 and received his B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brown University in 1992.
