Issue Position: Protect Property and Water Rights

Issue Position

History has shown us that the best stewards of the land are the people who own and care for it. We must protect the private property and water rights that have played such an important part in the history of our state. We must implement eminent domain reform that protects land and property owners from unfair seizure by the government. We must also protect our precious ground and water resources and use it to enhance economic development efforts throughout our East Texas region. In order to accomplish this objective, we must strive to avoid elimination of Junior water rights.
