Begich Statement on Tragedy in Connecticut

U.S. Senator Mark Begich today issued the following statement regarding the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut today:

"I am deeply saddened by today's awful shooting in Connecticut. My thoughts are with the families and friends of the 26 victims whose lives were lost this morning as well as those injured. This was a deplorable act of violence on some of our most vulnerable individuals who are children and my condolences are with the Sandy Hook community today as they face this tragedy."
