Half of our state budget is spent on education, but more than half of every dollar is lost by the time it makes its way through our bureaucratic education system to the student. Despite all the money spent, public schools and our students who are educated there continue to do poorly. This must change and the system must be reformed to allow parents to send their children to the school they believe will give them the greatest opportunity to succeed.
