Bachmann Releases Statement on Latest Unemployment Numbers

Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (MN-06) released the following statement regarding the latest unemployment numbers reported today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:

"Millions of Americans have left the workforce in the last four years, yet the unemployment rate today is virtually identical to what it was when President Obama took office. We are simply not creating jobs quickly enough. 7.7 percent unemployment means that millions of people are entering the holiday season without a paycheck.

"President Obama's tax and spend policies continue to explode the debt and cloud the country with uncertainty. We are currently facing the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression, and it's time for the President and Senate Democrats to adopt pro-growth legislation that the House has passed numerous times. Failing to pass a budget for over three years and then demanding increased taxes on America's job creators to fund their reckless big spending won't help get the American people back to work."
