Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement on the national unemployment report for November:
"Today's unemployment report serves as another reminder of how crucial enacting pro-growth tax and regulatory reform is to the economy. Unemployment remains far too high, yet the Administration continues to promote the same policies that have failed to get Americans back to work. It's time for President Obama to come to the table, put job creation first and have a serious discussion about comprehensive tax reform. Republicans have put forward a plan that avoids the fiscal cliff, includes sensible reforms to entitlements and makes the type of pro-growth tax reforms necessary to bring in revenue without negatively impacting job creation. The President's symbolic push to raise taxes on small businesses will actually make it more difficult to help West Michigan get back to work. It's time for President Obama to move from symbolism to substance."
