Statement

Dear Fellow Oregonian,

Congress is back to work, and we have a number of pressing issues to resolve before the end of the year.

From the Farm Bill to the "fiscal cliff," Congress must come together in a bipartisan fashion and solve these difficult issues to ensure our economic recovery, lay a framework that puts the United States back on a fiscally sustainable path and help restore the full faith of the American people in their government. The decisions we make now will affect our nation in both the short-term and further down the road. They are decisions that we cannot take lightly.
