Nearly everyone agrees that the real problem with health care today is cost. Yet the reality is that in addition to being an unprecedented federal power grab, the "Affordable Care Act" will actually make health care more expensive and less accessible for Montanans. Tim Fox believes Congress and the President should repeal Obamacare and start over with fresh ideas for truly reforming health care.
It's time for our lawmakers to put people ahead of lobbyists and special interests, and focus on solutions to reduce costs and increase access to quality health care. We can take concrete steps, such as allowing Montanans to purchase health insurance across state lines (like they can now do for other types of insurance), improving our state's medical liability climate while protecting patients' rights, and instead of forcing people to pay for coverage they don't want or need we can allow the purchase of basic health insurance so people have a range of optons.
As Attorney General, Tim will not only take the lead in defending citizens against overreach by the federal government, but will also promote a legal environment that fosters genuine health care reform for Montanans.
