Benishek for Congress announced today that Dr. Dan was named a Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
"Everyone talks about helping small business succeed when it is election time but Congressman Benishek has a track record that proves he cares about Michigan's hardworking small business owners and the jobs they provide," said Charles Owens, Michigan State Director of NFIB.
The NFIB named Dr. Benishek as a Guardian of Small Business because of his outspoken support for pro-growth policies such as a flatter, fairer tax code, limited regulations and repealing and replacing the President's health care law.
"I am honored to be named a Guardian of Small Business by NFIB. As a former small business owner, I know how difficult dealing with the federal government can be. Since I was first elected to office, my goal has been to encourage private sector growth. Our small businesses here in Northern Michigan are the backbone of our economy--if they do not succeed Northern Michigan does not succeed. That is why I support repealing and replacing the President's job-killing health care law, simplifying our tax code and reducing onerous regulations. Once our local businesses are freed from the shackles of government I know Northern Michigan will flourish," said Dr. Benishek
