Arkansas is known as the Natural State, and our environment is among our most valuable resources in terms of tourism, economic development, and quality of life. We must recognize that these resources are finite and must be protected for our children and grandchildren, and in doing so, we can promote and enhance business opportunities, rather than impede them. That means:
-Ensuring a rich supply of clean air and water for our citizens.
-Appropriately valuing our finite natural resources.
-Using reliable research to test and regulate mining, drilling, and logging practices to determine their true environmental impact.
-Demonstrating the link between sustainable environmental practices and job creation.
