CHAMBLISS, MILLER ANNOUNCE TRANSPORTATION FUNDS FOR SOUTH, COASTAL GEORGIA
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., and Zell Miller, D-Ga., today announced that several transportation projects in Southwest and Coastal Georgia will receive funding in the Fiscal Year 2005 Omnibus Appropriations bill.
"This bill includes important funds for South Georgia's transportation needs," said Chambliss. "I am pleased to have helped secure funds for the City of Moultrie's Intermodal facility, which will boost economic development for the entire community."
"These appropriations for our airports in South Georgia will help make the entire region more attractive to new businesses and residents," Miller said. "It is a major win for economic development in the region."
