Issue Position

Double standards persist in the North Carolina workforce, especially for minorities. Pay must be equitable regardless of gender or race. Wages have remained stagnant, cost of living continues to increase and the poverty level continues to rise. Women lead more households, yet continue to receive less pay than their male counterparts. This inequality is promoting poverty in our state. In order to eradicate poverty, we must eliminate the inequity in pay.
