In their first debate of the 2012 general election on Thursday, U.S. Congressional candidate Allen Quist achieved victory over his opponent, Congressman Tim Walz. Quist showed he is the only candidate who knows what needs to be done to fix the economy and has a plan to get the country back on track.
"Congressman Walz' policies are clearly damaging on the nation's economy." said Quist. "His support of ObamaCare, the failed stimulus program, and billions more in wasteful spending has put our country on a very dangerous path we simply can't afford."
Quist and Walz both presented their cases in front of voters and a television audience at the Somerby Golf Club in Byron. Quist stayed on the offensive, revealing he is the candidate with a plan to reduce the debt, create jobs, and put America back on a path toward economic prosperity.
"Minnesotans, and the rest of America, are hurting right now," state Quist. "We need someone who will go to Washington to fight for them and not vote for more wasteful government spending just because party leaders ask them to."
