Peters Applauds September Jobs Report

Issues: Unemployed and Low-Income
In response to today's news that the nation's unemployment rate dropped to 7.8% in the September jobs report, U.S. Rep. Gary Peters issued the following statement:
"After 31 consecutive months of private sector job growth, today's news that the unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level since the start of 2009 is a clear indicator that President Obama's policies are strengthening our economy by spurring new job creation," said U.S. Rep. Gary Peters. "We still have a lot of work to do to keep our economy moving forward, but this trend of job growth clearly demonstrates that the change we've been fighting for is real."
