We must balance our budget responsibly and not cut funding for education. We must also work to make our schools more productive places: we must reduce class sizes so that teachers can teach and not focus all their time and energy on crowd control. And we must find ways to fairly pay our teachers , while improving student performance. I have made education my number one priority, and I promise to make our schools the best they can be.
