Today, U.S. Senator Scott Brown released the following statement on news that Massachusetts lost 4,800 jobs during the month of August.
"The increase in the Massachusetts unemployment rate is the latest indicator our state cannot afford Professor Warren's anti-growth policies. The respected accounting firm Ernst & Young reported that Elizabeth Warren's tax hikes would destroy 700,000 jobs across the country, including more than 17,000 in Massachusetts. It's no wonder she has been called the "greatest threat to free enterprise' by the Chamber of Commerce, and even Democrats call her "catastrophically anti-business.' My top priority is creating an environment that will allow businesses to grow and put people back to work, and we do that by keeping taxes low, curbing government spending and empowering the private sector."
