I am a firm believer that local governments can figure things out regarding how to build their neighborhoods, teach their children, and manage their resources. I believe local governments are smart enough to think regionally and work with surrounding counties. The Legislature does not need to micro-manage nor dictate unfunded mandates. The only time Tallahassee should step in is if the local governments are failing.
