"Hi, I'm Robert Hurt. I'm proud to represent Virginia's 5th District in United States Congress.
"On September 11th, 2001, our country was struck by an horrific attack. An attack that cost lives in New York City; an attack that cost lives in a peaceful field in Pennsylvania; and of course, an attack that landed in the Pentagon in our beloved Virginia across from our nation's capital.
"On the occasion of the anniversary of September 11th, I think it is important that we all take a moment to remember the sacrifice of all of those men and women who are our first responders, who responded on that day and sacrificed themselves so that others may live.
"At the same time, I think it's important that we remember the sacrifice of all of the soldiers, and men and women in uniform, who have served in the military since that time to ensure that we do not suffer another attack like we saw on September 11, 2001.
"It is proper that we remember the sacrifice of those first responders and of our men and women in the military. And I know that on September 11th, 2012, the people of the 5th District will join me in remembering their sacrifice."
