Recent reports have confirmed what many of us have known: that unnecessary regulation is burdening the economy, hindering job creation, and slowing our recovery. The number of federal regulations has steadily climbed in recent years and is becoming a significant cost to America's manufacturers. These costs are, predictably, passed on to consumers. Meanwhile federal administrative agencies which are continuing to enact regulations through the rule-making process are seeing their job-crushing regulations struck down by courts across the nation. At a time when the economy is struggling, government needs to get out of the way of job creators, not meddle in their affairs.
