This week, the House passed H.R. 6213, The No More Solyndras Act, which will eliminate the Department of Energy's loan guarantee program that essentially wasted $535 million in taxpayer money on Solyndra not long before it went bankrupt. This legislation also increases transparency and accountability by imposing penalties for violations of the law. Solyndra is a poster child for scandal and mismanagement and there are many lessons to be learned.
