We have a responsibility to give young Arizonans the tools they need to compete in the global economy. In K-12 Education we need to reduce class size and find programs that create tangible results for each individual student. Combining computer-aided teaching with more access to teachers may be a way to help tailor successful programs for students without extravagant spending. I support investing in programs that incentivize parents to be engaged in their children's education.
Higher Education is a critical tool to grow our economy. Our excellent university system is leading in many areas of research, and this can create new business opportunities if properly nurtured. Our community colleges should be partnering with major employers to ensure the programs they create train our Arizona workers for jobs the business needs.
