Mark understands that education is more important than just a piece of paper. Education is the key to attracting industry and securing our future. Getting a good paying job depends on having a good quality education. That's why Mark fights for teachers and they have endorsed him. He believes in properly funded LOCAL public schools. Mark sponsored the Complete College Tennessee Act, which puts more emphasis on career/technical training, apprenticeships and Tennessee Technology Centers and requires our universities to produce graduates. Mark believes our elected officials should work together to make college more accessible and more affordable.

Marks 3-step approach to Education:

Put students first by requiring them to know something
Work across the aisle to make college more affordable and accessible
Put good teachers in the classroom with adequate tools and let them teach
