"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." -- United States Constitution -- Amendment X
All states are not the same, nor should they be compelled to be the same. The right of this state to function as a sovereign entity, while at the same time being a productive and contributing member of The United States of America, has always rested in the hands of the state legislature.
The men and women of Wyoming's legislature have to ensure that the people of Wyoming can do business, educate their children and govern their citizens according to the needs and desires of those citizens. Wyoming has to be protected from being placed into a "one size fits all" mold created in Washington D.C. We also have to stand firm on the ideology that we can best govern from within our own borders and better address issues locally rather than from afar.
