Like so many Louisianians, Jefferson Parish President John Young and I were extremely frustrated by the slow and inadequate response of at least one Louisiana utility in reestablishing service following Hurricane Issac. We decided to write a letter to Governor Jindal and legislative leaders to pursue the option of a forced sale of utility assets if a utility provider fails to perform.
