Too often politicians in Harrisburg put special interests ahead of students' interests. We need leaders who will be able to stand up to the education lobbyists who are often more interested in pensions and pay for employees more so than achievement and results for students.
Kurt Masser supports reforms to our school system that will help students prepare to join the workforce, go onto college, and eventually secure a position growing our economy, hopefully right here in Pennsylvania.
Kurt supports encouraging education competition through charter and cyber schools as well as investing more money in the classrooms of traditional bricks and mortar schools. Kurt also supports paying good teachers more and rooting out failing teachers. Kurt also believes we have to focus our kids on science and mathematics, so they can compete in the economy of the future.
